Myrtle Beach 2016 was one for the memory books! This was our first trip using VRBO to rent a vacation condo in Myrtle (actual area was technically Surfside Beach) and we really enjoyed our experience. We also celebrated both kids birthdays during this trip - at Senor Frogs of course :) The kids had a great time and it was a relaxing trip for all. Some of our favorite things to do at Myrtle Beach that you have to try on your next trip...
1. Broadway at the Beach - it is simply the best! We love the food, little shops, and family friendly atmosphere.
2. Mellow Mushroom Pizza - AMAZING, so good in fact that we ate there twice (ok, maybe three times in 7 days but who is counting?!)
3. JetSki's - on our last day there the boys rented JetSki's from Downwind Sails Watersports right on the main beach. They were friendly and prompt and the boys enjoyed their hour long rental. There was also a little beach area for the girls to play in the sand while we waited :)
4. Senor Frogs - the kids are so amused by this place, it is silly and everyone is wearing balloon hats and dancing and singing - it really brings out the kid in everyone who is there!
5. Myrtle Beach State Park - one of the biggest draws for the condo we selected was that it came with a pass to Myrtle Beach State Park. We love this option for the beach as opposed to the main beach area which is super crowded with beach chairs lined up two and three rows deep. The state park is clean and family friendly with the option to rent chairs and umbrella's, playgrounds, and is even complete with showers to rinse off and public bathrooms. After going to the State Park, we will never fight the crowded beach again!
6. Life is short, eat dessert first! While grabbing burgers one night at Burger-Fi (another must try with amazing burgers), we stumbled upon Coccadotts. The kids immediately noticed the Cupcake Wars logo in the window but we had just missed the closing time. The owners father saw the kids staring in the window and opened the shop and gave them each a cupcake and the sign to take pictures with!! They earned customers for life that night...we also made at least two more visits (during normal business hours) over the remainder of our vacation :)
